Stanley Park is a wonderful combination of tourist attractions and urban wilderness area. It has water on three sides of it, and enough pathways and trails to keep hikers busy discovering new areas at each visit. It's absolutely mobbed on the weekends, and is clearly Vancouver's favorite inside-the-city-limits getaway destination.

These shots are from a quick tour of the park's perimeter on a horse-drawn trolley, and don't begin to convey the range of activities that Stanley Park offers.
