Located under the Granville Street Bridge, and separated from downtown Vancouver by False Creek, Granville Island is a world unto itself. Shops, restaurants, markets, outdoor outfitters, yacht brokers and kayak rentals, a theater, and a host of other businesses line the little island's streets and alleys. Tiny ferries shuttle between the island and downtown, and boats of all sizes create their own potential traffic jams in False Creek.
