Same exposure for both shots, but a little fill flash bounced off my hand
brightened the colors and lightened the shadows in the lower shot. . . .

Nikon D90 ,Nikkor AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
1/200s f/11 at 28mm iso400 with PL filter and fill flash full exif
