The well-known author and historic figure, Jack London, owned a ranch in Glen Ellen, CA, where he lived with his wife Charmian.
Historic buildings from the late 1800s and the early 1900s include the ruins of his "dream house" the Wolf House, which burned before they were ever able to live in it - in 1913. There are also some rock barns, a distillery (now old time farm equipment stored here), ruins of a winery, a museum which was built as Charmian's home after Jack died, and the ranch cottage where Jack worked, and where he was when he died in 1916. All set amidst the beautiful wine country north of Sonoma in Glen Ellen.
