The famous Palace of the Governors is right on the Plaza.
It was built in 1610 and is considered one of the oldest public buildings
in the United States. It was used by four different governments: Spanish,
Pueblo Indian, Mexican and U.S. territorial rule. It was turned into a
state history museum in 1909.
