Western Tussock Moth Caterpillar

Mitchell Canyon, Mt Diablo, CA

This colorful and bristly little guy is about 1 1/4" long (3mm).
You may notice he has a sort of tailfeather.
Pretty sure he is a Western Tussock moth caterpillar.
