Your BW gallery is truly outstanding and exactly what I've been looking for. I am relatively new to photography and although I have what I consider some decent shots, I do not understand when to use BW as opposed to color. With your permission I intend to study your BW gallery with the hopes of discovering some of your photography brilliance.

WOW a film photographer. Not so many these days in the jungle of pixel land. I enjoyed youe photo a day color gallery very much. Lots of heavy colors on bright days. I see you also shoot B/W which is interesting given your color shots.

Have a great day

Great captures of the famous Montreal walk-up staircases in the winter. I love the strong contrast b&w images. The first time I lived in Montreal, it was winter, so now even though I have lived here a long time, it is only really "Montreal" in the winter, and your photos capture that feeling.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Hi Guy,
Thanks for your kind comments to my galleries. Yes. I also think that a triopod is a must for decent low light shots. However, sometimes they are really too heavy to carry around, specially on a hot summer day.

Thanks for your kind words on my photos. By the way, thank you for your information. Do you have the English version of that article. It is really alarming to hear that normal portrait /candid photography (not those indecent hidden cam) of other people in a public place is not allowed in your place. At least, I have not heard about this in Hong Kong. An interesting topic to check out as I have a lot of these kind of images online at the moment, so as many of the Pbasers around the world.

Bonjour Guy,

Guy

Hello Nino,

Thank you very much for your comment for my photos, I am very pleased. You have a very good camera, me I love mine. To make sure you don't miss a picture, check your little screen and put it on Program. Make sure your lense is on "A". If you use a zoom like FD28-80 or FD200 or 300, on your little screen put it at Program Tele (because it will give you the best speed in that way you won't have any shaking on your picture). Make sure you put the right ASA on your camera. And I will give a very good hint:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/SLRs/t70/index.htm
go on that site and you will have all the informations for your T70
And good luck
Best regards
Guy
AKJ 14-Jan-2005 18:30
Hi Guy. I just bought a canon T70. It was obviously used, so I still have to develop the test roll to see how it works. I am still learning how to use it proper, so I am sure some of the pictures will not turn out. Could you give me any advice? Thanks--love your photos. I am going to Thailand for reliefe on Saturday, so i needed a new camera (my other is a pentax se1000, and i also just got a minolta--both old). I knew i needed to take some good photos.
