Considered the "main" tower of the Moscow Kremlin, the "Spasskaya" (Saviour) tower is the ceremonial entrance. With 20 unique towers, this is the only one with clocks one each side and with a tradition that stretches back to Soviet times, at the ringing of the bells to herald the New Year, TV cameras focus on this tower as the president gives his brief holiday greetings to the Russian people.
