The 1850 Half Cent is the second lowest mintage of the Braided Hair Half Cents from 1849-1857.
This semi-common (R-2) C-1 variety has blond/brown mottled semi-prooflike surface.
Some mint red hidden in the reverse devices. A strong strike centrally, there is some weakeness
near the edges. There are also some planchet issues or strikethrough on both the obverse and
reverse. This odd little coin was purchased from Heritage.
