Unlike the preceeding or succeeding years, the 1841 large cent only comes with a "small
date". Here is a nice, original N-6 variety of the 1841 Large Cent with a fairly nice strike, great color and planchet, and a bit of luster in the more protected areas. Scattered verdigris on both sides and a fairly large hit on Liberty's chin are both noted. This coin is a common variety, an R-1 coin. Perhaps a bit optomistically graded by ANACS at AU 50, finding this date with this look in this grade is harder than many realize.
