Here is a nice original N-3 variety of the 1850 Small Date large cent. The diagnostic circular obveres die crack is not clear in the photos but can be seen in-hand. This variety of the 1840 Small Date is a common variety, an R-1 coin. The obverse is a nice light chocolate brown, and the reverse is a bit darker. The reverse has a rim bump around 10 o'clock and a few old shallow scratches are noted on the obverse.
