Here is a nice, evenly colored N-6 variety of the 1842 Large Date. This coin is a common variety, an R-1 coin. This coin has clearly seen circulation, and has the perfect "circulated chocolate" look. No major problems are noted, but a few ticks and taps are consistent with light circulation. Similar to many early 1840s large cents, this is a tough coin to find problem free with good color.
