Oh -- I just looked at your thumbnail page again and noticed that the photos were taken in Tampa, Fla., so that would definitely make it an adult female Boat-tailed Grackle.

Michael, this is a female grackle of some variety. Not sure when and where you took the photo, but given the dark eye, it must be either an adult female Boat-tailed Grackle from the Gulf Coast/Florida, or a first year Eastern female Great-tailed Grackle, judging by the paintings in the "Sibley Guide to Birds." Looks more like the Boat-tailed variety, I think. Great photos you've got in here!
