Upper Cathedral Valley-Capital Reef National Park
This particular route to get to this area of the national park really requires a 4x4 vehicle. East Hartnet Road is just off of Route 24 on the east side of Capital Reef Park. It connects to a unmarked dirt road that, in many places will be just a few miles an hour and completely unimproved. Make sure the weather is good and you start early in the day to make the 28 mile trip.

Marble Canyon - Arizona
The canyon is located just south of Lee's Ferry Campground, Arizona. The clouds over the cliff faces never moved and kept perpetuating themselves, essentially making its own weather.

Snowy Scene in the Sandia Mountains
I came on this early morning scene on Sandia Crest just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It was dead calm and I took the shot. Fifteen minutes later a light wing blew all the light snow cover off the trees. Dumb luck produced this image.

Ohio Pass, Colorado
Ohio Pass is located just west of Crested Butte. This fall scene was captured on a back road off of Route 720 that placed me in a free range area, meaning there were a bunch of cattle right next to me! I did the shot anyway and the cows were actually completely well behaved.
