The Lands End Resort sits at the end of the spit. Jean Keene's location is several hundred yards from the resort. We photographed either from the back of our rental cars in the parking lot near her place, or on the beach. The parking lot afforded side lighting, tight conditions and difficulty in isolating a bird since there were so many close by. The beach provided light over our shoulder, but was quite a distance from the action.
