To the Canyon

We had to fly into Flagstaff for orientation and transport to the Canyon in anticipation of the long hike down Bright Angel Trail at the crack of the next dawn.
We stayed at the El Tovar hotel which is celebrating its centennial. It was one of the Harvey Hotels built in the national parks and retains all of its original charm.
