These images were taken during the 26th Penang International Dragon Boat Festival 2005, which was held over the first weekend of June. The event was held at the 2nd largest dam on Penang island, which is the Teluk Bahang Dam.
This was my first assignment covering and event of this magnitude. I was called upon by the offical documentation team for this event as the official photographer. Some of the images here were used for the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) convention held in Berlin two months later in the effort to help Penang secure its bid to host the 6th Club Crew Championships in 2008. Penang won the bid and thus, will be playing host to the upcoming event. |
