Images in this gallery were taken at the Penang Bird Park over the summer of 2005. The bird park is located on the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia.
Despite being around for a really long time (possibly more than 10 years), this place very is well maintained. At the time I was there, they were still renovating displays and upgrading the place. I was also very impressed by the number of species represented there. Some of the birds there (especially the owl) look rather downcast. But that's how anyone would feel if one was caged up for a prolonged period of time. That's why a better alternative to birding would be to get them in the wild where they truly look their best. |
