It was about 3:30 Friday afternoon as I was working on photos at my computer I remembered that Syesha was coming to town today. I was getting a little tired of sitting and though I'd runover to Ringling and see if I could get any photos of her on stage.
I loaded up my 400mm lens (I should have used the 1.4x too) and headed out. I got there about 30 minutes late and she was still on stage, thank goodness. The crowd was pretty deep so I had to work my way to the front so I could at least get half of her in the frame. Being as polite as I could, I move toward the front shooting as I went. Finally I could go no futher because the crowd was too thick. Many people had banners which blocked the view but I was able to shoot about 220 photos in 20 minutes using continuous mode. And before I knew it - she was gone.
She was backlit so I told the camera to lighten up one stop. Anyway here are a few shots from my self assigned Syesha photo shoot.
As I walk through the gate I noticed the American flag flying, so I took one shot, more or less a test shot to see if the camera was ok, and this is what I used behind her in 1st and last photos.
