Thanks for your kind comments Rob! I am very much a novice and learn something new every day with regard to how to present the photos that I have taken with my wonderful 5700. Initially I used Paint Shop Pro 8 to 'tweak' the photos using a 'suck it & see' approach but have now moved on to use PhotoShop CS. So much to learn, so little time! Printed results (using my VERY old HP PhotoSmart 1000 printer) have been excellent. I recommend 'The PhotoShop Book for Digital Photographers' by Scott Kelby (ISBN 0-7357-1236-0) which taught me a lot about the use of PS and about techniques for enhancing pics. I've also learnt loads from the NTF forum on www.dpreview.com. Every print takes as long as it takes to 'tweak'! Some can be fixed in seconds, others take hours or even days to get just right. That's the fun in digital photography! Best regards, Mike

Excellent photos! Are these shots direct from your nikon 5700, or did you enhance them with photo-editing software? If so, what software...and how much work does it take to
create photos of this quality? And do prints retain this quality? Thanks in advance for your reply. Rob. P.S. I'm trying to decide if I should purchase a digital camera, what kind, and if I will also need to learn how to use photo-editing software. Thanks again!
