I've never seen a butterfly like this

I wonder what kind it is. Gorgeous, whatever the name.

I don't think the color is distorted much -- although I increased the saturation a bit to accentuate the differences among the colors. The spots at the wing-tips are so interesting!

I think they are called "macaon" butterflies in Swedish, but they are not usually that red. They are generally brownish. If the colours are right, I've never seen one like that either. It must be hard to "shoot" a butterfly, of any kind.
