Anna and Inga don't speak English. I, alas, can only barely understand a
few words of Swedish (good thing Laurie is fluent!). Near the end of the
family reunion (more on that shortly), Anna or Inga shook my hand and said
somewhat plaintively: "But...we can't talk to each other!" This was translated
for me. She was right -- we couldn't speak in words, but we were able to
convey enough in smiles, I think.
