Within an inner courtyard of the castle

Or maybe it's just a yard. (What do I know about castles, anyway?)

Strange place. The Johanssons and Laurie and I are wondering
at this moment what's the story behind the fading reddish color
on the wall. We're hoping it isn't what's left of any servant
who dropped a plate or stole a piece of marzipan during one
of the De la Gardie romps around Europe.
