Sunset on Lake Vänern
Vänern is very large. The trip took about an hour each way (perhaps longer).
Laurie and I thought we'd gone quite a distance. Turned out, at the end of the first
hour we'd only neared the end of one of the inlets of the lake.
The captain, talking to us over the loudspeaker, noted: there's so much water
in Vänern that you could place everyone in the entire world into it
and the level would rise only a few centimeters. (He didn't specify how
the entire population of the world might be persuaded to do this.
I believe the logistics are still being worked out.)
