Fruitlands has an amusing history as one of the USA's many -- and in
this case, short-lived -- attempts at communitarian living.

only water, bathed in unheated water, and did not use artificial light.
Additionally, property was held communally, and no animal labor was used.

Next sentence: The community . . . lasted only
