First I made a selection with the lasso tool, then added a color control point
within the selection. I increased the radius of the control point well beyond
the boundaries of the selection. To get the view seen here, I clicked the
color control point's Show Selection check-box. The result is deceiving, IMO.
It seems to show the control point's "reach" going beyond the selected area. But
in fact it doesn't extend beyond that area. The visual feedback is thus unclear.
