I spent nearly every weekend in July at the south end of Pyramid Lake to photograph nesting Grebes. We had a steady stream of wildfires this year, partcularly in the Pyramid Lake area. This is one of the planes used to fight the fires. It flies onto the water and scoops up a load of water to drop on the fire.
