We went to another pond in the same area. This is a Virginia Rail. Tim had heard it in the willows in a sandy area, so I set up and turned on the bird call. This rail practically ran over my boots. It was so close, couldn't get a shot, so I moved the call some distance from where I was and it came right up to the call.
