Paul and I had tried the Bats the first night and had no success. Paul couldn't stay a second night, so I was on my own. I had some ideas on how better to place the flashes and adjust focus, etc., so gave them a try. Had results beyond my wildest dreams. Before the Bats came in, this Western Bluebird flew in and landed on different spots on the guzzler. It would fly out over the guzzler and hover a few seconds. After a couple of times of that, I realized I could fire the camera manually. Result was a couple of nice shots like this one.
