Paul came across this Great Basin Rattler just after dinner, within 25 to 30 feet of the truck. I think it may have been more scared of us than the other way around, as it let us in very close to take the pictures, with no striking out, no rattling, etc. I was glad I had a camper to sleep in, and Paul was glad he had a solid tent!!
