Started spring out with several trips out to the outskirts of Fallon where Paul took me to a Great Blue Heron rookery. There were two or three large Cottonwoods covered with Heron's nests. It appeared a number of the Herons were sitting on eggs. Unfortunately, a ranchers gate was put up to block the road in. Jerry and I went through the gate once, but I was on the way home from somewhere else and stopped by to find a "No trespassing, Federal Property" sign on the gate. Decided not to try my luck with the feds, so didn't get the chance to photograph any Heron babies.
