Paul and I went to the Caughlin Ranch area looking for some reported Acorn Woodpeckers. We found them, but they were too far up in the tree to get good shots. Then Paul spotted this Great Egret in a small pond across the street. Compare the little fish these large birds eat to the big ones the Common Mergansers were eating at Manzanita Lake.
