I had set a goal in June of hiking to the top of Mt Rose. Didn't think I had a snowball's chance in you know where at the time, but I knew I would have to work up to it. So hiked up there several times and made it to the last trail junction about a mile below the summit a couple of times. I didn't know if the altitude would be a problem so waited until I saw the cardiologist in September. He thought it would be ok, but wanted to see the treadmill test results first. Passed the treadmill test easily, so on October 16, made it to the top.
