DSC_8615a.jpg

We heard dogs yelping all morning on the other side of the park. We thought the dogs were being abused. Tim went over and found a dog group was having a rattlesnake training for dogs to become afraid of the snakes. A handler would walk the dog near the snake, and when its attention was focused on the snake, it was shocked from a special collar. The leader told us he has seen this training last for 5 years or more. For most of the dogs, they got shocked twice, and by the third view of a snake, they were very afraid of it. The snakes are de-venomed, so no risk there.
