After about 45 minutes went out to check on the camera and saw that the water was as smooth as glass and I could see stars reflected, so shut the camera down and moved to a spot near the shore. Shot for nearly 6 hours to get this one. Unfortunately, there was cloud cover for about the last 1.5 hours. Also wished more stars were reflected in the water, but the glow from the left, Carson City, didn't allow for that. Didn't get to bed until 5 AM, but well worth it I think.
I believe the brightest trail to the right of center is one of the planets. If anyone is an astronomy expert, please let me now which one it is. I started shooting about 10:30 and the planet was above the southwest horizon at the highest point in this image.
