My favorite star trail so far. This is on Slide Mountain next to the old Slide Mountain ski area. The light source from the left is from snowcats grooming the ski area. The glow on the right is from Reno.
The bright star in the middle of the star circles is the north star. It does not move in relation to the earth as earth spins on its axis, so it appears as an almost stationary object in star trail images.
