This is a female (supposedly wild) turkey. The flock kept walking toward us and we had to keep backing up to get any kind of a shot. I ended up with a whole bunch of the females right at my feet. I was worried I would either step on one or get bit on the leg. There's a hunting season on turkeys in Mason Valley. If they are all like this, its not what I would call hunting. Maybe if they banned guns and made you tie one hand behind the back and try to catch one with the other hand, it might be a fair fight.
