For those of you not familiar with the balloon races, this is called the "Dawn Patrol". Four or five balloons launch before sunrise and float around for a while, then make their way back to Rancho San Rafael Park, the staging area for the event. I had a very difficult time getting sharp images of this as the balloons are moving up and you can only get a slow shutter speed, even at ISO 800. This image was shot at 1/8 second, ISO 800, f5.6.
