After a brief cycle ride in the mist before dawn I arrived at this flooded riverside woodland just in time to capture this scene. I find cycling while taking photographs to be incredibly rewarding; it is green transport and slows you down a lot on the roads; allowing you to see so many more landscapes than might otherwise be missed.
I created a slightly lighter layer of the long dead willow in PS2, especially above the horizon in order that it didn’t stand out too prominently. Photograph taken near to Stanton Harcourt, Witney, Oxfordshire.
