I think an entry-level digital SLR from either Nikon or Canon would be an excellent starting point if you're interested in getting into some serious photography. Something like the Canon Rebel XTi or the Nikon D40x would be a fantastic camera to learn on. Just be warned... you will probably like it a lot and once that happens the accessory buying never stops ;)

hey I love the pics I know nothing about cameras but I want to buy a digi that is more thatn just thebase model setup as I want to pursue this hobby more what would you suggest as a low end good camera for more than just family photos

Great Pics Joe, Wish I was There... makes me want to go out and buy a new lense and hunt down some airshows... Afterburner shots were great.
