The exhibition presents nativity scenes from the collection of
the National Etnographic Museum in Warsaw, made by distinguished
contemporary artists: Zdzisław Dudzik and Marek Głuch. Most nativity
scenes have been made for the contest held annually since 1937
(except for the years of the war) in Cracow. Every year of the
first Thursday of December in Sukiennice near the statue of the
poet Adam Mickiewicz, the grey winter day is illuminated by great,
large and small nativity scenes from Cracow. It is one of the
most beautiful Christmas tradition.
