Amazing how there are no trees, or very few, at Kamloops and as you head towards Whistler. It reminds me of the old western movies on TV where you see the tumbleweed blowing across the land. That is what I am trying to show in those first pictures as we left Kamloops. Then we reach the midway point, approximately, and the trees are back again.
I say this without hesitation, that last half drive to Whistler was the best, scenic, interesting highway drive I had in my life. The speed was 20km/hr to 60km/hr and you followed those speeds, or else. Simply beautiful that last half mountain drive to Whistler, I will always remember that drive, that whole loop we did was gorgeous, but that one sticks out for me. The "Peak to Peak" is the reason I wanted to visit Whistler and happy I did. Will like to go back to Whistler and spend a week there in the summer. I have been there twice in the winter for skiing. Whistler is 1 place you should visit, especially if you ski, and even if you don't ski go and visit it in the summer, magnificant place to visit.
