Miguel Figueroa, Ret. Army Sgt., and Marc Gagnon, Artist, were brought together through Parklander Magazine in a story uniting an artist and a military officer who both have one purpose. That purpose is patriotism and support of our military and their families. Later, they collaborated on a collage titled For Our Troops collage which subsequently a Fisher House Charity event was formed around. The event was held at the Coral Springs Museum of Art which there was much publicity about the event. NBC News interviewed Marc Gagnon which can be viewed on You Tube. A walk was held about 1 year after in Parkland. Before the Toast to Our Troops event held at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, there was a special proclamation held at The City Commmissioners Meeting in Parkland where the For Our Troops collage was donated to the Parkland Library. Later on, some 2 years after, the piece was also donated to Fisher House, located in West Palm Beach, Florida. This section of the website is dedicated to those who risk their lives and give their lives voluntarily to protect our freedoms. PNA Power Evening Group lent much support to the event.
