The most critical image that a model would have in a portfolio would be their headshot says Gagnon. Gagnon was fortunate to have learned the headshot through a couple of fashion photographers out of NYC. That was the days of film of course, back in the 80s. He was also fortunate to have met Kevyn Aucoin, Bridget Bernhardt, Rick Caldwell, Pamela Shakra New, as well as others in the make up industry. For a while, Gagnon developed his headshots through Baboo Color Labs out of NYC on W 20th, a couple of buildings from the famed Lime Light Club. According to Gagnon, there are different types of headshots for different models, as well as the industry or purpose. Types of headshots are Commercial, Fashion, Beauty, and an Acting headshot.
