Gagnon was invited to Sint Maarten in 1993 and 1994. He would bring 4 to 5 models to the island. A Norwegian Photographer would do the same from Norway. They met up with Peter Gunn, a St Maarten resident who photographs all of the tourism photos for the merchants on the island. After hurricane Hugo, Gagnon lost his contacts on the island. Gagnon also consulted with another photographer who gave photography workshops on the island. These workshops became very successful. Unfortunately Gagnon and the photographer had a falling out.
