We hiked one of the two most popular trails in the park: The Narrows Trail via the Riverside Walk. The whole trail is 9.4 miles round trip, 334 feet in elevation and up to eight hours. We only hike for about three hours in the 65 degree river bed. The riverbed is paved with rocks and cobblestones and can cause loss of balance. Rental water boots and wooden stick are highly recommended to ensure strong and steady footing. September is the ideal time to hike this trail. Earlier in the year would be too cold and weather can be very unpredictable especially with deadly flashflood. The scenery along the way is spectacular...
