Tour de France - Paris, May 2002

Our two-and-half-week long vacation this year took us to France and Geneva, Switzerland. We toured four regions of France: Paris Central, Mediterranean French Riviera (Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Grasse, Vence), Midi-Pyrenees (Toulouse), Loire Valley (Nantes). Photos are taken with Canon D30 with either Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8 - 4 HSM or Sigma 28-200mm f/3.5 - 5.6 lenses and Canon G2. 1GB Microdrives were being used as storage.

That apartment is very nice, and the pictures sure bring back a lot of memories. I miss the croissants, and the baguette with those millions of cheeses... Thank you for the pictures, now I'm hungry! :)

The pictures are so beautiful, especially the ones which you emphasized on the contrast of the objects. How do you transfer from SLR films to JPG's? do the original beauty decrease by the transfer process?

These are very good pictures, with very lively color and good composition. I haven't been to Paris in many years, and these sharp photos look so much better than my slides that I want to go back and shoot again. You had some great weather, which helped your skies. Good job. Wish you'd post what camera you were using, as so many of us are comparing resolutions.
