Team 149 with its 12 runners along with some 200+ other teams participated in this annual event. The non-stop relay race stretches across four counties, a couple of dozen Bay Area cities, several highways (#29, #121,#9, #1). The race starts Saturday morning from Calistoga, Napa and ends on Sunday evening in Davenport, Santa Cruz. The runners take turn covering 36 legs ranging from 3 miles to 6 miles per leg. The terrain can be flat city streets, hills and mountains with various elevations from several feet to a thousand plus gain... Justin was on Leg 28, a 5.1-mile, 350-feet elevation gain course when we joined the fun chasing after the runners. On average, each runner covers between 15 - 20 miles in the two days...
