Ten Lakes Trail is located in the Tuolumne Meadows of the Yosemite Park. The trailhead is right off the Tioga Road (or Hway 120 Eastbound) at milepost T16. The trailhead is at 7500' elevation. The trail is 6.3 miles long reaching the peak at 10100' at mile 4.9 before it descends into the lakes. A word of caution, at 10000' elevation, thin air can pose some respiratory difficulty to hikers. We hiked this trail on a beautiful, crystal clear early fall Sunday. We completed the twelve-mile roundtrip in nine and half hours which includes an hour worth of breaks along the way...
