Our friends took us on a wildflower hunting trip in the central CA for the super blooms this year when it was at its peak. We first hit the Figueora Mountain in the Los Padres National Forest, Shell Creek Road off of the Carissa Hwy 58, then crisscrossed to Hwy 46 from San Luis Obispo for the splendid blooms at the Carrizo Plain Monument. Thankfully, it was during the weekdays, the wildflowers hunters were not out in trove. We were here last time in March 2019. It was not this magnificent.
